Default Well you know how my luck goes......

So today, only 5 days after having Zada at the vet school, Boy fell out on us again. I called our regular vet and told them. They say to me, well because the check bounced you have to pay $600 of your balance and any charges from today. Um hello bitches...it is your own damn fault the check bounced and I have to pay the fees for it. I brought in the cash and told them to tear up the check~they didn't...that is not my fault. I told them to kiss my ass and hung up. I don't do real well when I am stressed and people are being stupid.

So we decide to head to the vet school. He really needs to see a cardiologist anyway. I called the cardiologist assistant and told them we were on the way with a different dog. I then called the dean of the vet school. He was out but his assistant was AWESOME! I explained that we had just spent every bit of money we had 5 days ago, but I couldn't just let Boy die. About 10 mins before I called her, Bo fell out in the car and I pulled over thinking he was dead that time. I told her all of it. She said not to worry she would take care of it. She asked for the names of my dogs that had been treated at the school (quite a long list) and my name. When we got to the vet school, they were waiting on us. Came out after an hour and said he had the same rhythm problem as Zada. Kept him for another 4 hours after that doing tests. (Side note: We actually left the school, something we never do, and went to see my mom at work. She was just finishing up, so we all got shampooed and the kids got haircuts.)

So we finally found out that he has an infection of his aorta and the valve is not closing all the way. That with the rhythm problem is what is making him pass out. So we have 2 new meds to go with the 2 that his on now. And finally the good news~they gave us $1000 from the teaching fund and are letting us make payments on the $250 that was left over. And the great news~the cardiology deptment got their money TODAY!!! They did the genetic test on Boy and we will start talking to them about getting the others tested.

Zada is doing well on her meds. She is eating good again and is getting back to her fiesty self. We all thank you for your continued prayers. I swear they help so much! And having a place to come and talk about it helps the most. Most people would never understand all we go through for our fur kids.

OMG MICHELLE!!! that is the best news EVER!! I love how that door opened instantly when the other vet was a douche

how are boys teeth? i know in ppl heart valve infections can come from mouth problems. not that butt licking dogs don't have a host of other areas to get germs from lol.

i'm so glad the meds are working on them both. it sounds like you are in wonderful hands. yes prayers do work.

I am glad things worked out at the vet school! The other place sounded like a bunch of butt holes.

Good news for Zada, and I hope the same for Boy!
