Default Weird Growth on Wyatt's Nose

Hey all!

Wyatt has had this odd little growth on his nose for maybe around 6 months or so. The vet didn't seem all that concerned when he saw Wyatt for his yearly check up, but we didn't really bring it up either.

I feel like its gotten bigger? Any ideas what it might be?

Thanks!

Looks like the little thing we had removed off of Bear. The vet said boxers are cyst machines. He removes them a lot from the breed.

Vet called it a histiocytoma (sp?). Binga had one removed and was told it was a sebaceous cyst.

If it doesn't change much, maybe get the vet to check it out next time you take him in?

He is super adorable in his pics btw

Thanks Kelli! We'll have the vet take a look when he goes in next for his shots. Poor pup! It looks like he's growing a wart on his nose.

Kaycee had one on her face a couple months ago. My vet wasn't worried either and hers got pretty big. My vet said that sometimes they can hang around for awhile but then all of a sudded they're gone which is what happened...Kaycee's disapeared within a day!

You are welcome

It does seem to be its pretty common here too. Usually they are harmless.

How is he doing today?

It doesn't bother him in the least. I don't even think he knows it is there! It appears about the same size.

He's going to get some shots soon so we'll see what the vet says. Hopefully its nothing and they can deal with it then.

I would say use tea tree oil on it but it may be too strong of a scent since it is near the nose...The other thing that pops in my mind is polyderma, does he have any acne on his chin or jowls??
